SoCalGas Internship – Website Project Manager

Job Description:

SoCalGas is seeking a Website Project Manager / Webmaster. This position will administer company’s websites (Internal/External) by managing content and maintaining design, ensuring both are current, consistent, accurate and in line with overall business, marketing strategies, while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. Ensure the websites maintain a cohesive design, enhancing the company’s online marketing/communication efforts and user experience. Ensure the websites’ content and design are in line and updated as overall business and marketing strategies evolve to meet/exceed customer and employee expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ongoing review and enhancement of websites through content management and design; ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with overall business and marketing strategies, while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Provides direction on website content and design to various stakeholders to ensure alignment with the overall digital strategy; which includes coordinating/publishing content, while ensuring continuity of themes and design layout.
• Streamlines navigation and overall information architecture, in order to improve the online experience for users.
• Provides direction on Marketing and Communications collateral to align with a digital first content and design strategy.
• Modify digital standards and guidelines as needed, while partnering with the Content Strategist and UX/UI Designers.
• Leverages analytics, market research and usability testing to create and continuously enhance ongoing content and design strategy.
• Provides periodic on-call support to update digital assets during emergency situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant experience with Internet/Intranet/web design and content management work.
• Experience in building websites in SharePoint Online and/or Drupal required.
• Experience working collaboratively across all disciplines including: User Experience (UX), Project Management, Analytics,
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Management Systems (CMS), and Design.
• Skilled in web technologies (tools, system software), current web usability and accessibility best practices (including WCAG 2.0 Accessibility guidelines).
• Proven experience with overall UX/Design principles, enforcement of Style Guides and other Digital Web Standards.
• Must live within SoCalGas service territory to perform in person work and attend meetings as required. 

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Web design, computer science, engineering, journalism, communications, marketing or related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with Internet/Intranet/web design and content management work.
