Job Description:
As a Manager – within the Product Performance Management team, this position requires an experienced and proven leader equipped with the confidence and skills to manage high profile projects and a team of instrumental/clinical researchers, complemented with the tools needed to negotiate timelines, budgets, and priorities. This Leader should have a background in instrumental/clinical testing design, while also possessing excellent analytical, strategic thinking and collaboration skills which will be essential for leading studies and teams within the different L’Oreal US brands.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with all US Hair Color Application Domain and Development lab teams at the stages of conception and early innovation through to in market
- Develop & lead robust international evaluation plans across our Evaluation Sciences (Consumer, Sensory/Expert, Instrumental/Clinical)
- Consolidate pre/post market performance and reviews for competitivity analysis to ensure we maintain superiority
- Build strategic body of evidence and define deployment next steps with core team (i.e. synthesize evaluation results cross-science, organize performance dossier)
- Collaborate with worldwide Category Performance Leader for Hair Color and global network
- Embody the USER VOICE and experience within marketing / strategic meetings, Application Domain Core Team, and Hub reviews
- Evaluation voice and partner representation in R&I management meetings
- Understand and connect category market knowledge to user experience
- Challenge project ambitions to ensure right targets and countries represented
Job Requirements:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Flexibility to work in global frame and deliver deadlines
- 7+ years of research experience in product evaluation, concept development, product innovation / development, project management, consumer market insights
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Psychology/Sociology/Market Research/Business/Engineering or product science related field
- Proven ability to drive organizational alignment and influence stakeholders
- Highly motivated, self-guided with strong strategic vision and able to storytell / present in a way that is inspiring
- Must be authorized to work in US on a permanent, ongoing basis, without need for sponsorship now or in future
- Experience in cosmetic industry or salon is a plus
- Able to translate consumer, instrumental, and sensory insights into actionable recommendations to drive product development and exceptional consumer satisfaction
- Strong communication, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills
