Job Description:
We are looking for an intern with expertise on data-driven vehicle health condition monitoring and prognostics using machine learning and statistical approaches. For a given prognostics problem, the candidate is expected to apply the most appropriate approaches for data cleaning, feature extraction, baseline modeling, and anomaly detection.
Job Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Ford’s Autonomous Vehicle efforts as part of the AV Systems Engineering team.
- As part of the feature team, you will help develop unique AV features not commonly found in traditional retail automotive products. Work in a dynamic & extremely challenging environment that includes many white space areas.
- Help Ford realize its AV vision as part of tomorrow’s transportation solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong communication skills
- Being proficient in python or MATLAB
- Automotive experiences/knowledge
- Strong team player with record of collaboration
- Having industrial or academic project experiences in fault diagnostics, condition monitoring and prognostics
- Strong problem-solving skills
Qualification & Experience:
- Current research direction in data-driven prognostics and health management of mechatronic systems
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- Pursuing a BS, MS or PhD degree in either data analytics, computer science, engineering, or related fields
