Job Description:
Responsible for defining and managing the value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for projects. Organizes and drives resources (capital, staff, tools) to achieve project objectives on time, within scope, and on budget. Responsibilities include overall project planning, direction, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-delivery evaluation. Ensures project scope, planning, and implementation align with client expectations and business needs. Ensures alignment between multiple projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Networks with other business groups to identify gaps, synergies, suggest process and communication improvements.
- Ensures consistency and adherence to WFM’s standards, processes, and policies.
- Builds and maintains project roadmaps, including milestones, deliverables, and overall timelines.
- Ensures data-driven, customer focused decision-making.
- Partners with third parties and teams across WFM to ensure alignment, collaboration, and wide-spread sharing of lessons learned.
- Tracks and manages progress of tasks, identifying and communicating issues / risks to management; ensures changes are implemented and documented as required.
- Monitors metrics. Reports on progress, issues, and status.
- Provides Project Management support for assigned segments of the organization.
- Engages with functional representatives to understand business requirements including ‘definition of done’, documentation expectations, resource limitations, risks, and challenges.
- Engages with Team Members and leadership to ensure a mutual and shared understanding of project expectations.
Job Requirements:

- Ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
- Handles detailed, structured problems; identifying roadblocks to task completion.
- Understands WFM’s project management methodologies and requirements.
- Identifies alignment / mis-alignment of the team’s project goals with larger organizational strategy, goals, and objectives.
- Understands the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.
- Uses existing procedures to resolve standard problems.
- With guidance, responds to questions and presents information to internal and external clients in one-on-one settings.
- Maintains positive working relationships with supported functional stakeholders.
- Capable of keeping projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.
- Collect required documentation and verify conformance with standards,
- Assess accuracy of detailed information.
- Tailors communication approach to specific situations and audiences.
- Supports the team and cross-functional projects within defined area of responsibility.
- Impacts the quality of own work and that of the team.
- Select appropriate alternatives from defined options,
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening.
- Working knowledge of project management software, such as SharePoint, MS Project, and Basecamp.
- Understands the strategy, goals, and objectives of the company, business unit, and/or project.
