Job Description:
Responsible for deriving data-driven, actionable insights that contribute to the overall productivity of Whole Foods stores. Supports Merchandising strategic planning and direction setting by ensuring the best analytical practices and techniques are used to provide recommendations that improve promotional performance at WFM. Drives sales and operational efficiencies through effective evaluation of promotion and merchandising performance. Contributes to analysis and development of improvement recommendations for space and assortment planning, space management, and related processes in support of various Merchandising and Marketing initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Gather pricing questions or recommendations from existing feedback systems. Route questions to decision makers to ensure timely resolution.
- Support the Pricing Team by maintaining critical pricing data elements like pricing lines, custom item pricing groups, category rulesets, and schedules.
- Help build data and evidence that supports pricing rules
- Create draft pricing recommendations for a group of categories using existing team tools
- Run agreed-upon reporting and metrics to support execution and tracking of pricing activities
Job Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills
- Intermediate Excel skills required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Analytical Business Specialty, or commensurate retail experience preferred
- Experience with Alteryx, SQL and database reporting preferred
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- 1-2 years of experience in retail, analysis, and/or pricing preferred
- Strong work ethic complemented with a positive, can-do attitude
