Job Description:
The LCDD team supports the business by creating learning interventions for Walmart US stores and Home Office. With the latest tools and technologies at disposal, our learning specialists and media experts will work to create a lasting impression with the target audience. Our team of AR, VR, video production, e-learning, and graphic/ curriculum design experts are ready to solve problems for the retail business.
Knowledge Management is the intersection between WM US’s Learning Curriculum & Skills, Processes/Systems, and Taxonomy Design & Governance. The Knowledge Management Content Designer owns, teaches, and maintains our Knowledge Management standards & Taxonomy Governance. This includes change management and implementation of the Learning Team’s taxonomy, content mapping database, etc.
Job Responsibilities:

- Supports the development and implementation of knowledge management practices within LCD
- Manages the current knowledge management practices as well as design and implement new knowledge processes and support use of new practices
- Analyzes the effectiveness of new knowledge management programs by observing usage and evaluate impact
- Interacts with peers, leaders and business partners. Perform as a mediator to answer queries of peers, leaders and business partners on knowledge management products, processes, practices
- Ability to construct/deconstruct learning curriculum and prepare curriculum for database entry. This includes identification of critical knowledge, learning outcomes, and assigning the appropriate taxonomy and metadata to enable a seamless learning experience
- Inputs curriculum data, utilizing excel and/or templates, into Walmart’s curriculum database with accuracy, specificity, and attention to detail
- Works proactively to improve database entry and maintenance processes and advocates for process-adherence throughout the broader Learning Team
- Audits existing data within Walmart’s curriculum database and enterprise search results for template-adherence, searchability, and platform functionality
- Identifies database issues, communicates these issues to the broader database team, and works collaboratively to find solutions
- Thinks critically to summarize and package curriculum data for precise, consistent searchability
- Maintains and archive quality learning content in a variety of modalities depending on the needs of our learners and our business
- Adapts to ongoing changes in our business and ways of working
- Embraces an Agile mindset/way of working
- Researches trends and advancements in the Learning and Development & Knowledge Management space, applying these to Walmart’s content development

- Strong verbal/written communication

- Ability to context switch between learning system-level thinking and attention to minute details
