Job Description:
The Senior Manager, Transformational Change leads the development and facilitation of change management plans and deployment to support the implementation of transformational projects. In some cases, this individual would act as advisor and teach project teams how to use existing tools, while in other cases, the Senior Manager will take ownership of all change planning and delivery (depending on the complexity of the project).
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitates Change Leadership programs and lead the change agenda/strategy for key meetings.
- Consults with change and project teams on change management processes and issues by ensuring best practices are captured for future reference and utilization. Identifying root cause issues within established processes; assessing the impact of changes; providing guidance on change management communication plans; identifying resistance gaps and developing solutions to address; partnering with senior leadership to eliminate barriers and ensure execution of key change management plans; leading the facilitation of knowledge transfer to partners; and aligning people, processes, and platforms to drive delivery of change management strategy
- Developing and gaining alignment on change management plans with senior management
- Supporting key projects
- Drives the change management strategy for Walmart Canada business and people transformation projects by performing the following activities:
- Spearhead the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities. Removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance by providing resources, identifying performance standards, measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly. Also developing contingency plans and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
- Developing risk mitigation strategies
- Supports the Director, Transformational Change, by providing project supervision and development opportunities for members of the team. Engages in mentoring and building a team-based work environment, recognizing others for their contributions, and coaching to support team success
- Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives by consulting with business partners, change team, coaches, collaborators, or other key stakeholders. Soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Managing vendors and third parties
- Develop communications and training activities, as well as supporting materials, are established and integrated within the Change Management critical path. Steer the implementation via collaboration with key partners.
- Prioritizing requests
- Identifying and addressing opportunities for process improvements (for example, training, documentation)
- Drives awareness of change management programs by leading the measurement, tracking and reporting of project plan progress. Developing reporting strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs); creating status overview summaries of projects for senior leadership review and presenting initiatives to steering committees / executives.
