Job Description:

As Head of Online Planning and Orchestration, you will use your commercial and operational understanding, strong analytical skills and customer orientation to drive decision making at pace across all aspects of our online business. Pulling all the capital, resource, trading, marketing and operational levers into an integrated delivery plan that balances strategic requirements, considers customer experience and brand levers, as well as day-to-day sales and profit optimisation improvements. Strong influencing skills will allow you to navigate and balance the sometimes competing needs of the business to ensure the successful commercial delivery of touchpoint initiatives and business optimisation through others.

As part of the online leadership team you are responsible for building and ongoing orchestration of an integrated outcome driven plan of initiatives ensuring we have a well defined roadmap and plan in place that is supported, understood and performance managed by both challenging and collaborating across a complex matrixed team.

This role will be responsible for setting the strategic planning framework in place for all online initiatives ensuring all resources (people, equipment, IT and Cash) are aligned to delivering against the priority outcomes.

You will provide effective forecasting of commercial value delivery for in-flight initiatives over the year, holding leaders to account on timely delivery of anticipated value, flagging risks or escalating decisions as appropriate.

You will provide visibility and transparency of initiative value and progress, surfacing any opportunities to build efficiencies and successfully prioritise longer-term strategic requirements versus immediate commercial deliverables.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated an ability to lead with agility and pace at scale.
  • Experience in agile development at ways of working at scale.
  • Ability to facilitate tradeoff decisions between strategic levers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous P&L ownership and experience leading matrix teams.
  • High degree of commercial acumen.
  • Understand technical and complex info and manage competing priorities.
  • Collaborative leadership approach across multiple teams.
  • Understanding and experience of Grocery Online businesses and what is required to scale and capture a wider share of wallet in the Food & Drink Market.
