UPS Job Application – Senior Ocean Export Agent

Job Description:

This position handles all customer activities concerning containers they want to export via ocean movement. He/She works with customers, suppliers, and various shippers to route, pick-up, and/or trace shipments as necessary. He/She resolves problems and maintains an ongoing professional relationship with the customer and vendors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely billing and visibility milestones.
• Perform daily customer service function as per client’s needs.
• Monitor and coordination of shipments including communication with overseas offices, pick up appointments, freight monitoring, documentation, insurance and accounting.
• Advise customers regarding ocean and ground freight export procedures, international regulations.
• Produce accurate information and documentation on time.
• Obtain and produce all pertinent information
• Develop business relations and follow up with customers and partners (ex: carriers).
• Organize transport and documentation with carriers.

Job Requirements:

• Bilingualism required
• College degree in Logistics and transportation and/or 1 to 2 years of experience in the transportation field.
• Number of transactions and profit per transaction, accurate and timely data entry and information processing, accurate and timely costing and billing for closing of files, and full compliance of all department processes and requirements to improve clients’ satisfaction.
