Job Description:

At Safeway, our grocery clerks do more than just keep our shelves stocked! They use their time on the floor to greet customers and help them find the latest product, local specialty or elusive ingredient for a favourite recipe. They know when products are coming in – and use their creativity to make the shopping experience exceptional everyday.

Job Responsibilities:

• Smile, make eye contact and greet customers while stocking shelves.
• Offer to help customers to resolve any questions that they have. Provide exceptional service.
• Keep your department clean, well-stocked and organized.
• Handle and present products in a way that highlights and safeguards their quality.
• Comply with company and public health standards.
• Know the features, benefits and uses of the products in your store.
• Look for create ways to present your products to your customers.
• Support national, regional and store merchandising programs.
• Contribute to a safe, positive and fun environment.
• Support teammates to be successful in their roles.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
