Job Description:
This is a financial analyst position in RCI Finance. The analyst will support the shoreside management teams in effectively managing their budgets. This person must coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize relevant information to create budgets and forecasts. The analyst maintains continuous contact with operating groups and keeps current on business developments and data trends and incorporates any changes into the forecast.
Job Responsibilities:
- Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.
- Develops and maintains monthly reports for operating teams and shipboard management teams
- Performs other duties as required. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
- Prepares monthly forecasts and annual budgets for specific expense accounts
- Prepares month-end journal entries, including re-classes, accruals and prepaid entries
- Analyzes month-end variances and submits explanations to accounting
- Performs ad-hoc analysis and presentations as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical and computer modeling skills
- Must have strong command of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel
- Must be able to work independently
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required; Masters degree in Business / Finance preferred
- Two to four years of financial experience including a strong background in business/financial planning & analysis skills
- Prior experience with Essbase a plus
- Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in analysis
