Job Description:
This is an exciting green-field opportunity when you will be responsible for setting up a Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) and implement enterprise – wide procurement transformation initiatives across all Qatar Airways business units and subsidiaries.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implement an eco-system of digital P2P procurement tools
- In this role, you will be a key leader in supporting the Senior Vice President – Group Procurement in developing a world-class procurement organization and drive transformation and change initiatives through a procurement PMO.
- Support and challenge procurement standards, procedures and tools to continuously optimize spend performance, supplier risks, team capabilities and overall operating model.
- Define category and supplier strategies especially for sourcing and awarding. Define supplier performance matrices, procurement templates and governance frameworks, to ensure all activities are time and cost efficient, compliant and standardized across the organization.
- Develop capabilities for strategic supplier partnerships and implement best practices on supplier risk management. With the support of relevant global functions, such as Finance, Audit, Contracts, define appropriate supplier evaluation criteria such as supplier financial health, dependencies, legal & compliance risk, CSR and reputation risk, operational risk etc. and support the development of risk mitigation plans.
- procurement excellence plan in order to ensure sustainability and strong business partnering with stakeholders / end users.
- Develop together with the Contract department, a contract framework and optimized STCs ensuring highest legal protection while maintaining business continuity with key suppliers.
- Lead the implementation of specific procurement innovation processes, aimed at pioneering or adopting industry-leading practices which gives Qatar Airways Group strategic and competitive advantage.
- Consolidate all major procurement KPIs at group and various business levels.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a procurement transformation or business excellence role.
- Hands-on, at ease in both strategic & operational activities, and managing ambiguity.
- Strong leadership and business/performance mindset, with outstanding capabilities of negotiation and influence.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Procurement
- Proven track record in leading procurement transformations in large conglomerates or corporate group
- Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
