Job Description: The HR Specialist 1 serves as a strategic partner to manufacturing groups in support metrics to achieve business plans and objectives. The key areas of focus for the HRS include: Employee Engagement, Change Management, Talent Management, Staffing and Recruiting. The HRS also serves as a collaborative partner with HRBP and COE programs as well as identification of opportunities to promote successful business outcomes. Job Responsibilities: Active engagement and planning with all levels of client groups to develop trust and credibility. Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management. Maintain awareness of the culture, plans, financial position, and competition of the business units under the HR purview. Collaborate with colleagues in the human resources department to develop policies, programs, and solutions. Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, and state, employment law requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with the legal department when necessary. Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for attrition countermeasures and continuous improvement. Finds ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention. Performs other work-related duties as assigned Assists with recruitment efforts. Facilitates effective communication between HR Centers of Excellence (C.O.E.) and functional groups to provide visibility to upcoming HR initiatives and employee issues. Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary. Process complaints regarding employee conduct and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions. Facilitates and/or provides training (including orientation) to the workforce. Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs. Manages and balances multiple demands and priorities to achieve optimal results. Maintains a positive outlook and stays motivated to team and clients, able to generate innovative and creative solutions and alternatives even under resource constraints, demonstrates perseverance in achieving objectives despite obstacles. Identify training needs and partner with training team to create a professional development curriculum.
