Nissan Job Openings – Non-Mfg Facilities Engineering Intern

Job Description:

We are looking for Non-Manufacturing Facilities Engineering Co-Op Intern to join the Nissan Team for a duration of 12 months starting in January 2025 through December 2025. This Internship will be focused on supporting Energy Management, Energy Efficiency and Energy Production at Nissan. The internships will be located in Canton, Mississippi.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementation of Nissan PHC, SES/FPES, and portions of NEM standards in Facilities, focus on fire protection across MFG sites with standard and centrally located information repositories and KPI measurement to show progress
• Environmental Impact – reduction of environmental impact – regional energy, waste and landfill, audits (treasure hunts) data compilation beyond current level, development of and implementation of personal accountability both manufacturing and non-mfg sites, track progress toward energy start certification/sustainment
• Improve Plant Health Rating – creation of a site by site restoration plan prioritized by risk priority number to drive asset health awareness and failure impact for expense planning
• Facility Automation – Collaborate on and assist in standardization of building automation across region (data gathering, next gen digital applications, implementation, dashboard setup and data reporting

Job Requirements:

• Education: Candidate for B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Civil or Computer Science
• Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Project applications. Advanced knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature.
• Experience in basic programming, report generation, troubleshooting
• Assist in the evaluation and feasibility of various energy efficient technologies.
