Job Description:

We are looking for a Manager of Editorial Content to join our NYX Professional Makeup team in the Consumer Products Division of L’Oreal USA. The Manager of Editorial Content will create the editorial strategy and related content production for the Global team. Insights of strategy should come from: global makeup trends (through partnership with PD), prospective teams insights (through global corporate teams), and SEO keywords trends (through partnership with Digital team). The ideal candidate must have a passion for copywriting and storytelling through written, film, or photography with both internal and external talents.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure stills and videos are made for consumer education purposes (how to/ pro tips)
  • Immerse self in “what is happening” across teams to be able to effectively propose synergies and content repurpose to optimize production costs and teams’ efficiency
  • Propose relevant information and trends for users in order to capture organic traffic
  • Gather all the needs and productions across departments to build an editorial content plan that will be activated across all the own NYX consumer facing touchpoints (D2C, Social, and eCommerce)
  • Optimize use of in-house production capabilities and coordinate the efficient retention, scheduling and use of resources between and within departments in order to deliver best in class editorial content (in form of copy, stills, and videos)
  • Awareness of upcoming panier in order to propose new concept to create that is fully relevant for our Gen Z audience
  • Deliver 30 makeup trends per year with 1 trend to include editorial copy, stills, and videos
  • Act as key liaison between artistry, education, Product Development, Marketing, and Digital departments

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in conducting interviews
  • 3+ years of experience in the beauty industry with a focus on marketing, education, or digital with a strong appetite for makeup trends and techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Passion for the makeup communities (artist, content creators, and influencers)
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing
  • Strong SEO knowledge
  • Ability to network and foster relationships to support collaborative working
  • Self-motivated with a strong bias for action and ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with attention to details
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
  • Interacts effectively: excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally diplomatically
  • Ability to bring creative ideas to life with 360 storytelling activation on cross platforms (Blog + Social + Email, etc.)
  • Capable of influencing teams and individuals (both internal and external) through justifying priorities
