Job Description:
We seek a passionate, motivated, and entrepreneurially driven candidate to join our dynamic and fast-paced Digital IT Content, Innovation, Services, and Tech for Good team. This individual will be responsible for the Digital Accessibility initiatives to have all L’Oreal Americas digital properties compliant with WCAG standards. This role will provide opportunities to get exposed to the latest technology trends, work with global teams, and collaborate with various business and technical partners as well as world-class third parties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and share progress and roadblocks with Business teams
- Closely collaborate with global teams to roll out new accessibility compliant features as well as remediate existing issues
- Manage monthly scans and Accessibility leaderboard; share results in a way Business and Development teams can take action
- Collaborate with the Learning team on Accessibility training opportunities to develop internal expertise
- Lead all Digital Accessibility initiatives for Zone IT Americas
- Share Accessibility best practices across the Zone
- Collaborate with digital innovation team to identify or vet startups or third parties from an accessibility perspective
- Proactively think about ways new technologies, like the metaverse, can affect people with disabilities and propose solutions for ongoing compliance
- Independently use accessibility validation tools such as axe or similar to identify issues needing resolution
- Manage relationship with Digital Accessibility agency; facilitate communication between them and teams across the organization
- Support Accessibility taskforce
- Engage with Business teams and partners to ensure compliance from the start of a project (design phase)
Job Requirements:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to interact with different levels within Organization
- Proficient in using issue tracking systems such as JIRA
- Understanding of latest technology trends
- 2+ years in Digital Accessibility role
- Experience with Javascript, HTML and CSS / understanding of how the front-end works
- 4-5 years of experience in website/digital platforms; understanding of Digital landscape and technologies
- Experience with SFCC and/or Sitecore is a plus
- Passionate about DEI initiatives
- Vendor management experience is a plus
