Job Requirements:
- Clearly communicate any issues impacting their section / food quality
- Be able to work in another area when needed and take part in cross training when directed
- Control food stock of designed section
- Prepare the daily mis-en-place, cook and serve all recipe dishes from section according to brand standards
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
- Carries out any reasonable instruction / duties as directed
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with colleagues and guests
- Follow HACCP procedure according to company standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy working environment
- Coordinate daily task with Chef in-charge
- Report any problem or complain related to colleagues or guest to the Chef in-charge
- Work with colleagues to ensure the day to day operation is smooth
- Report any defect in equipment immediately to the chef in-charge
- Report to work on time and check schedule the day before
- Attend training sessions whether internal or external when required
- Minimize wastage through correct preparation levels, stock control and portioning
- Understanding of basic kitchen hygiene and safety
- At least 2 years of experience as Commis 1 or same role
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
