Job Description:

In the Information Management Technical Specialist role, you will install, repair, and maintain a wide range of radio and telecommunications systems and provide oversight for assorted hardware procurement, logistics, and maintenance programs. Information Management Technical Specialists must specialize in either radio or unified communications. Physical activity is essential in these roles and includes manual installations and on-site repairs. You’ll help to strengthen national security—all while developing both professionally and personally.

Job Responsibilities:

• As U.S. diplomats work to defend and advance our nation’s interests overseas, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of all information, by protecting classified material, providing ongoing technical support, and optimizing systems and network operations.

Job Requirements:

• Be able to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance
• Be at least 20 yrs old and at least 21 yrs old to be appointed
• Be a U.S. citizen and available for worldwide service
• Be appointed prior to age 60 (preference eligible veterans excepted)
• Be able to obtain an appropriate Foreign Service Medical Clearance
