Job Description: We are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and experienced healthcare professional to join our team! The Director of Medical is responsible for managing a team of highly competent clinical nurses and external vendor-partners, along with developing and executing both day-to-day administration and a long-term strategic plan to ensure the occupational health needs of CSX and its employees. Job Responsibilities: Oversees and manages the relationship and ongoing performance of all occupational health-related external vendor-partners Identifies, seeks consensus, and implements both one-time projects and day-to-day occupational health process improvements to support company operations, occupational health goals and overall employee wellbeing Provides expertise and input on areas such as health and group benefits design, health provider contracting and administration, post-offer candidate medical processes, ongoing mandated certifications, and on- and off-duty medical injuries, while in compliance with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and other federal, state and local requirements, as applicable Acts as a trusted liaison and medical expert to all levels of the organization, from front-line craft employees to C-Suite executives, on occupational health matters Educates the organization regarding ongoing medical trends both broadly and specific to the employee population Effectively oversees and executes on day-to-day occupational health-related processes balancing company and employee needs, with a focus on safety in the workplace and enabling operations to effectively meet customer needs Provides medical expertise on business and corporate priorities, including risk and crisis management, and is comfortable serving as a company medical witness Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager Job Requirements: Demonstrated understanding of legal/regulatory impact on associate health management Experience in managing international health risks, crisis situations, developing evidence-based programming, and teaming with professionals internally and externally Experience leading and motivating teams across a diverse geographic and cultural landscape with direct and indirect authority Willingness to learn or is already knowledgeable of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Medical Standards, FRA Conductor and Engineer certification requirements, FRA drug testing requirements and/or Commercial Driver¿s License (CDL) medical requirements Ability to interact effectively in a fast-paced environment Experience managing cost center financials Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and interact at all levels of the organization Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality Ability to multi-task and pivot as business needs require Qualification & Experience: 3 or more years of experience in occupational health medical experience working in an hospital, industrial, manufacturing and/or collectively bargained business environment 5 or more years of experience in occupational health medical experience working in an industrial, manufacturing and/or collectively bargained business environment Board certification in Occupational Medicine and Internal Medicine and/or Family Practice Physician's Assistant or Medical degree and license to practice medicine in the U.S. An unencumbered professional nursing license in Florida A Master's in nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited college of university Job Details: Company: CSX Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Jacksonville, FL, USA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacancyvite.com
