Job Description:
The mission of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is to protect America from the cross-border crime and illegal immigration that threaten national security and public safety. ICE focuses on smart immigration enforcement, preventing terrorism, and combating the illegal movement of people and goods.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop training and programs on topics such as investigative matters, intelligence collection, trend analysis, methods of detecting fraudulent documents and similar subjects, for presentation to top agency officials and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel, employees of other U.S. government agencies, U.S. and foreign law enforcement, and representatives of cooperating foreign governments.
- Coordinate the investigative activities of the various agency offices and resolves questions of jurisdiction.
- Function as an ICE Special Agent involved with agency wide investigative, enforcement and intelligence programs.
- Provide intelligence and investigative input to the field officers involved in major anti-terror and criminal investigations.
- Plan and develops national and special investigative programs, making recommendations for the introduction of new programs, conduct of pilot programs, and acceleration of existing programs.
Job Requirements:
- Males born after 12/31/59 must certify registration with Selective Service.
- You must successfully pass a drug screen.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.
- You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
Qualification & Experience:
- You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent.
