Job Description: The Congressional Oversight Commission is seeking a Chief Clerk to provide financial, administrative, and operational support to the Commission. The Commission is a bipartisan legislative branch panel created by the CARES Act to conduct oversight of the implementation of $500 billion in economic stabilization funds by the Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve. Job Responsibilities: Managing the Commission’s budget Preparation and processing of vouchers for payment of Commission expenses and travel reimbursements Handling payroll transactions Processing incoming and outgoing staff Maintaining personnel files and financial data Managing administrative preparations and operations of Commission meetings and hearings Maintaining and assisting in the production of official Commission reports, letters, and records Overseeing various general administrative functions for the Commission. Job Requirements: The position requires discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive Commission matters, as well as being well-organized with a strong attention to detail. Ideal candidate should have previous Congressional experience, ideally in a committee clerk or office management position, with a background in budget and financial management and knowledge of Congressional administrative rules and procedures.
