As the Quality Assurance Assistant, you will provide the proactive technical and administrative support to the Signature Quality Assurance team in the enforcement of safety, quality, legal, auditing, and inspection requirements of Harrods Signature (non-food). The role will involve applying the highest standards to deliver Harrods brand values ensuring product is fit for purpose and performs to the required quality standards.

  • Aiding in the enforcement of safety, quality, legal, auditing and inspection requirements of Harrods Signature (non-food), ideally you will have the necessary knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory requirements to meet our stringent standards.

Job Requirements:

  • You will review samples during product development and when needed, inspect Harrods finished products to ensure compliance to the approved standards, maintaining suitable records to prove these undertakings as well as handle calls, administration and tasks as required ensuring the Quality Assurance function meets the essential levels of record keeping and monitoring needed to comply with legislation on a daily basis.
  • Aiding in the enforcement of safety, quality, legal, auditing and inspection requirements of Harrods Signature (non-food), ideally you will have the necessary knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory requirements to meet our stringent standards.
  • You will need to display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as you will liaise with key stakeholders.
  • You will have a strong customer service focus, when dealing with both internal and external parties.
  • Good attention to detail is key, as you will be responsible for carrying out where required.
  • Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities are also essential traits for the successful candidate.
  • A strong communicator and problem solver, you will investigate non-compliance issues including customer and shop floor feedback, maintaining regular contact with worldwide suppliers in order to arrive at swift resolutions.
  • The successful candidate should possess a good understanding of essential hard lines, toy safety and quality requirements.
  • A basic understanding of product testing principles are key.
  • Industry relevant, technical experience is preferred, as is knowledge of luxury retail (not essential).
