Ford Hiring – SYNC Voice Software Developer

Job Description:

A SYNC voice software developer is involved in full lifecycle of embedded software development on Ford SYNC system. Developers are responsible for working on the next generation voice applications. The software development is primarily in C++ for the QNX Operation System.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Computer Engineering or similar college program with 4+ years of work experience (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
• Familiar and comfortable with formal software development and testing processes
• Familiarity with QNX, Linux or other UNIX-like / POSIX compliant operating systems
• Programming experience in C/C++
• Jira for issue tracking and agile project management
• Hard worker who is looking for a challenging and rewarding position
• Experience with Qt framework
• An eagerness to learn and solve problems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Working knowledge of Git
