Job Description:
In this position, you will serve an Equity Advisor for the Deputy Administrator of Resilience responsible for providing a solid foundation for informed discussion and decision making regarding current and future strategies and capabilities for Agency missions, programs and processes
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing briefings, papers and reports on a variety of topics for presentation to the highest levels of the leadership; developing creative solutions to communicate complex data and research findings, including through data visualizations (graphs, charts, and maps), presentations, and websites.
- Participating in a broad range of special studies and investigations into aspects of the Agency’s missions, strategies, programs, and processes that may have an Agency-wide impact.
- Conducting research and analysis to identify and provide insight into long-term strategic drivers; examining future challenges and opportunities to assess possible future program trends and capability gaps using risk-based methods.
- Coordinating with senior Agency leadership, staff and other program officials and experts as necessary to assist in the translation of long-term strategies into specific out year plans and resource request, coordinating as appropriate within FEMA and DHS, as well as with OMB, Congress, and other authorities and stakeholders.
- Serving as project manager and coordinating with programs to ensure equity outcomes are being tracked and implemented within programs, and progress is reported to leadership.
Job Requirements:
- Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements.
