Job Description:

The Reservist Program is an appointment type granted under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, Section 306 (b), which authorizes FEMA to appoint such temporary employees as necessary to accomplish work authorized under the Act.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receiving, submitting, and tracking supplies, equipment, personnel, teams, services, or commodities using an Inventory System of Record.
• Utilizing barcode readers to conduct inventories of accountable property.
• Creating and executing Property Transfer Reports in accordance with Accountable Property guides.
• Providing technical advice and expertise on all matters pertaining to property management, accountability, and control.
• Conducting inventory assets management to include determining the appropriate inventory types, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and reporting unresolved discrepancies.
• Managing hand receipts.

Job Requirements:

• Selective service registration is required for males born after 12/31/59.
• You must be able to obtain and maintain a Government credit card.
• You must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for this position.
• Utilizing computer systems, databases, spreadsheets, or mobile devices to record, track, analyze and report data on accountable property.
• Managing accountable property to include conducting inventory asset management, and processing excess property and assets for disposal in accordance with Federal property accountability rules, regulations, and laws; and
• Receiving and transferring accountable property through an Inventory System of Record (ISR) to include submitting documents and correcting errors within an ISR; and
• Travel will be required.

Qualification & Experience:

• 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
• A master’s or equivalent graduate degree
• LL.B. or J.D., if related.
