Job Description:
The IT Change and Release Manager will be responsible for Change & Release Management within the Chief Digital Office as part of the Technologies and Platforms branch. The role is also responsible for Configuration Management and Asset Management. The Change and Release Manager oversees the management, maintenance and improvement of all activities across the Change and Release Management processes in order to ensure the integrity and stability of existing and new services used by Social Security Scotland. The role owns the vision and strategy for the processes within their remit and contribute to the strategy of other IT Service Management processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Continually developing and embedding a fit-for-purpose change and configuration management framework ensuring seamless integration, adoption, education and a greater understanding of the management of change and configuration across the organisation.
- Accountable for change processes including standard, normal and emergency processes.
- Responsible for release processes including product releases, maintenance releases and services engagements.
- Answerable for Change management satisfaction according to contractual customer SLA’s and internal KPI’s, implementing corrective actions as required.
Job Requirements:
- Experience of IT Service Management organisations of 4,000+ staff using the ITIL framework.
- Extensive experience of Release Management, including managing environments and deployments into production.
- Continuous improvement of ITIL processes.
- Extensive experience of IT Change Management.
