This position is responsible for track maintenance (constructing, inspecting, repairing track and other railroad property/facilities); equipment operation and maintenance; crew and equipment transportation to/from jobsite; travel/work in assigned geographic area. Job Responsibilities: Operate proper electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic hand tools such as drills, impact wrenches, jacks, power saws, and grinders Remove/replace ballast Remove/install ties Maintain records and time sheets. Clear right-of-way of litter and cargo spillage Repair and rebuild railroad track using power and non-power hand tools Cut rail Manually compress ballast Operate non-powered hand tools such as shovels, picks, axes, cutters, sledgehammers Lift, roll, and adjust rails Perform maintenance by pulling spikes from ties, drilling holes through rails for bolt insertion, and fitting bolts Lift/carry track material with assistance Lift/carry track material Cut brush, trees and vegetation Weld, grind, and cut rail Operate welding truck safely and efficiently Order material: welding supplies, grinding stones, reports, safety equipment Job Requirements: Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs occasionally Able to meet the above travel requirements Follow safety policies and procedures along with rules compliance; wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license Able to work the above shift/hours Occasionally climb on/off equipment Able to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English Bend, walk, stand and sit for extended time; use hand tools Able to work safely in the above working conditions At least 18 years of age, or will be by the anticipated start date listed above Ability to discriminate and differentiate between verbal and non-verbal sounds (signals, alarms, etc.) in the work environment Able to use hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, turning and pulling Able to visually distinguish colors - red, blue, green, yellow, and lunar (clear) light Ability to report for duty at the designated work location Job Details: Company: BNSF Railway Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Greybull, WY, USA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacancyvite.com
