Job Description: This position is located in the National Weather Service (NWS), Weather Forecast Office (WFO). Job Responsibilities: Issue scheduled and unscheduled products and official forecast products for general public and specialized users in the area of responsibility. Participate in all forecast and service programs, local studies and developmental projects that incorporate the benefits of new scientific and technical capabilities. Provide weather advice and guidance to different user groups and interests. Install, maintain and operate remote hydrometeorological sensing equipment and quality control remote sensed data. Job Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National to apply. Required to pass a background investigation and fingerprint check. Must be suitable for Federal employment. A one year probationary period may be required. Payment of relocation expenses is authorized. This position is in the bargaining unit.
