Job Description: We now have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join our Finance team based at one of our Head Offices in either Swindon or London. Reporting into the Financial Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of WHSmith’s International business’ accounts. Job Responsibilities: Support the weekly cash forecasting processes Run the Aged Debt reporting process. You will collate and understand commentary on the latest position to make sure debt is collected and any risks are pro-actively managed Produce year end statutory accounts for a number of countries, working with our external advisers Business partner Commercial, Operational and Finance colleagues in the UK and Internationally Support the Financial Accounting Manager to ensure the balance sheet is fully reconciled and controlled You’ll be responsible for rent accounting and forecasting. A sensitive cost to the P&L so accuracy is paramount, and you must have the ability to understand and articulate sometimes complex matters Maintain and enhance robust income tracking processes from a P&L and cash perspective.
