Job Description: The primary responsibilities of the Windows Administrator are to ensure the integrity of the Windows Servers and Active Directory in the computing systems environment. Additionally, support of virtual desktop clusters will be required. Job Responsibilities: Installation, configuration and management of infrastructure services such as backups. Performance of other duties as assigned. Evaluation and recommendation of new technologies. Capacity planning to ensure sufficient resources to meet business requirements. Establish standards for server configuration, usage, and management. Installation, configuration and upgrade of Windows servers and system software. Development of technology standards and establishment of performance guidelines to support daily operations and strategic objectives of server infrastructure. Technical support of all Windows server issues. Management of system backups, security, integrity, reliability, availability, and disaster recovery. Job Requirements: Experience with Windows networking utilities required. Specific skills should include routing, subnetting, firewalls, and name resolution. Experience supporting Windows Server roles including File, Print, IIS, Update Services and Remote Desktop Services. Usage of monitoring tools to maintain server environment. Ability to perform Windows administrative tasks using PowerShell. A minimum of 5 years Active Directory experience. Specific experience should include managing AD site topology, managing Windows DNS and DHCP across multiple sites, Group Policy administration and troubleshooting, AD security management and ensuring the continuity and recoverability of AD. Qualification & Experience: Experience operating within a virtualized server environment. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar degree. Experience supporting Windows Server migrations including server portions of applications. A minimum of 7 years Windows server administration experience. Specific experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 required. Knowledge and understanding of VMWare virtualization technology. Knowledge of MS System Center Operations Manager(SCOM). Knowledge of Nutanix and Cisco UCS platforms. Advanced scripting and task automation with PowerShell, Ansible, or similar tool.
